Tim Kindler is A commercial director, PHOTOGRAPHER, cinematographer and EDITOR with more than 20 years of experience creating films and visual campaigns for leading global brands across advertising, luxury fashion, branded content and live events.

Known for his cinematic style and meticulous attention to detail, Tim combines creative direction with technical expertise to produce work that is both visually compelling and strategically effective. Working seamlessly from concept through to final delivery, he brings a holistic understanding of the production process, ensuring every project is executed with precision, clarity and purpose.

Drawing on extensive experience behind the camera as both a director and cinematographer, Tim has developed a distinctive visual language that blends authentic storytelling with refined craftsmanship. He is recognised for his calm leadership, collaborative approach and ability to deliver exceptional results in complex, fast-paced production environments.

In 2025 and 2026, Tim was appointed Director of Motion for Australian Fashion Week, leading the cinematic vision and delivery of all official motion content across every show and key event. Through The Image Department, his production company which specialises in luxury events, Tim assembled and directed a specialist team of producers, cinematographers and editors to capture the country’s premier fashion event with a premium editorial approach, reflecting the creativity, craftsmanship and cultural significance of Australian fashion on the global stage.

His work has been recognised by the Australian Directors’ Guild, Red Dot Design Award and the Australian Effects & Animation Festival (AEAF).
